"My work emphasizes my on-going interested in developing a creative process that breaks
down boundaries between painting and other disciplines; to consider the performative
aspect of the medium. Currently, I do this through a process of improvisation where I use
my body as a brush to create gestures. By repetition of movements, I mark time and consider
the impact of each variation of a prescribed choreography". Nava Waxman
Performance artist Nava Waxman explores movement and temporality in a
gallery debut June 7. Her installations of light, sound and mark-making
highlight multimedia work with a follow-up performance scheduled for June 14.
